Want to use the Bitski browser extension to connect to Uniswap and do currency / token swaps? You are in the right place! You can do so from within our browser extension in a widget, or connect to another full DEX like 1inch or Uniswap, Matcha, and more.
😎 If you don't want to connect to another dApp, you can also try our "swap" button within the browser extension itself. Just hit the "Swap" button and a new window will appear on https://swap.bitski.com/
If you want to use the full desktop Uniswap dApp (or something similar like 1Inch), check the below guide! 👇
Select “Browser wallet” if the option is shown, or click the Metamask button. This might depend on the dapp's current integration of wallet services, so please let us know if you are having trouble!
If you want to use 1inch, their wallet connection screen might look different. You can connect via the Bitski SDK button, or potentially with the "Web3" wallet option (an injected browser extension like Bitski's should work here also).
Let's continue with Uniswap for our example. The wallet connection should open in a pop up, click “Connect” to continue.
First, let's do a simple swap from ETH to WETH. WETH is wrapped so you can do more interesting actions with it, very common on sites like Opensea. Once we input the amount we want to swap and hit "Wrap", a signing window should pop up where you can see the changes. Hit the "Authorize" button to continue.
You should now be able to see a pending transaction and then a complete transaction on the Uniswap dapp.
You can also see the complete transaction in your wallets activity feed, or from a push notification.
If you want to swap your ETH for stablecoins like DAI, USDC, the process should be very similar. Just sign the approval, and then complete the swap in the dApp after you have authorized the transaction!
Then confirm the swaps were complete via the Uniswap transaction history. You can also check the entry of your wallet on Etherscan by pasting your 0x address or ENS name into the search bar.
